THE GATEWAY TO THE BARLOW ROAD Annual “Rendezvous Days” Event
Wamic is known as the Gateway to the Barlow Road. Every year since 1993, our community been celebrating “The Barlow Road” Rendezvous Day event.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND!
LABOR DAY WEEKEND September 3rd-5th 2011 (Saturday, Sunday Monday)
This is a family event; parade, games, races, food, crafters, and black powder exhibitions by Mountain Men and Cowboys.

BARLOW TRAIL RENDEZVOUS DAYS EVENT Labor Day Weekend - 2011 - Parade / Costume Contest / Raffle / Food & More!
Raffle Tickets: $200.00 prize for food at Wamic Store, and a 50/50 (winners get 1/2 of whatever is taken in). Ticket cost: $1.00/ each or 6 for $5.00. Will be on sale at breakfast at Grange and from Rendezvous Committee members (see Wampinrock for details). Tickets sold Saturday morn. at the Quilt Show... Sun/Mon. at the breakfast in the Grange. Drawing held after breakfast....you do not have to be present to win.
VENDORS: Handcrafted wooden items, dried floral arrangements, jewelry and art work, food products, and much more. Crafters are in the fenced area next to Grange. If you are interested in being a vendor, please contact Etta Myers at (541) 544-2077.
FIRE DEPT. BREAKFAST from 7:30 to 10:30 all three days Saturday / Sunday / Monday: Fundraiser
Community Potluck Picnic: Sunday 1:00pm - Pansy Field, picnic/tent area. Please bring something to share... Combined with an Old Fashioned Cake Walk....plus Tom McDowells little train for the children.
Costume Contest: Held on stage under tent at 2:00pm (Cowboys, Indians, Pioneers) and awards will be given.
OUTHOUSE RACES:...SUNDAY ONLY ...from 3pm to 5pm. Wamic Market Road
At 5:30 pm Sunday...(following the outhouse races... there will be a Buffalo Stew, Fry Bread and Cobbler dinner held at the Old Smock Prairie School... and possibly story telling at the Mountain Men Encampment by their group.
Overnight camping spots available: The Resort at Pine Hollow Reservoir, Tygh Valley Campgrounds, Rock Creek Reservoir Campground & Maupin.
Boating, Hiking, Camping, Swimming, Horse Back Riding, all available nearby.
No alcohol
Children are welcome to participate in the parade with bikes, wagons, animals, etc.
